10 Reasons To Retreat

Retreats help you detox, rest, relax, rest... 

Depending on the type of you are interested in or craving will determine what you get from it. Adventure and excitement, rest and relaxation, spiritual, health, detox, yoga and fitness retreats. Everywhere you look there is a retreat offering. 

What are the benefits and why is all the rage now?

Well, I believe that our world doesn't account for the human spirit. We've lost ourselves in our schedules, technology and day to day drama and trauma of lives that are over booked, overwhelmed. 

Even if you live a deeply connected life, our modern world doesn't provide the opportunities that we need for a complete rest and reset. 

As an avid retreat goer and a retreat leader there are things I seek when I'm about to retreat both personally and things I seek to include when I'm hosting a retreat!

Retreats Help You: 

1. Step Back 

Stepping back allows you to pull back your energy that's fragmented all over the place, going in too many directions to too many things. 

Pulling back your energy allows you to really reset and remember what's important, what you really want and put your energy into inspired action to create the life you want when you come home grounded and deeply inspired and connected. 

2. Create Space 

Space is something we can't get enough of in our daily lives with "busy" and "too much" and 'back against the wall" and "no downtime" we are closed, tight and feeling trapped in our modern world. 

Retreating helps create space. It creates space both inside and outside of you. Most retreats are held in beautiful spacious locations and that natural world helps create space within you. 

It allows you to get in alignment and flow with who you are and what you want and really helps you ground and energize into the space that you've been craving!

3. Inspiration

Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. It can be challenging to solve problems, see a new way forward, find a answer that's right in front of you when you're up close to it. 

Retreating allows you to rest and breathe life back into you. Getting inspired awakens your creativity. Your creativity puts you back into a solution, high vibe place. 

4. Hear 

It's hard to heard in a noisy and I'm not just talking about external hearing. Your internal hearing. Your soul. Your deepest connection to your own heart. 

Hearing this can be difficult in stolen moments of the day but once retreat energy kicks in, your heart can tell you all sorts of things like your purpose, your path, your awakening, your truth. 

5. Detox 

Detoxing is not only about your physical body. Your emotions, mindset, spirit detoxes with food, space, inspiration, and especially disconnecting from the every day stress and noise of your life and the technology that's become such an integral part of our life. 

You will leave feeling lighter, recharged, inspired, healthier, happier. 

6. Fearless 

For too many people fear is stealing dreams and changing the outcome of your life. It holds you back, whispers what you can't do and steals your passion. 

Retreating allows you deal with, face fears and overcome them, even just by booking your retreat is the start of facing your fears, getting uncomfortable and stepping out of your comfort zone to really take your power back from fear!

7. Remember who you are

The world has a lot of labels for us and we live into those labels by becoming what each of those labels defines us as - mother, wife, employee, woman, and whatever roles define you. 

Imagine dropping all of your labels and just getting to spend time with yourself, redefining yourself, taking back your life as a woman, individual, as a wild woman. 

You get to unbecome what you are so you be who you are. 

8. Find Your Tribe

Many of us feel lost and alone in our day to day lives that are over busy. We feel different than those around us, we want more, we feel there is more. 

Retreats can help you connect with your tribe of like minded people and often feel like you're finally in a place where other people think and feel like you do. 

It's incredible to truly belong not fake belong!

9. Appreciate Your Life 

Retreating gives you a chance to be grateful for the life you have, to remember what you love, miss and care about at home. And if you don't remember those things, that's telling too. 

Retreating gives your partners, work place, children and friends and family the opportunity to miss you and when you're reconnected, everyone is recharged! 

10. Try New Things 

Let's be real, our lives can get routine and boring and we often crave excitement and new things. Retreating allows you to try new things and decide which ones you want to bring into your day to day life or just enjoy the experience while you did!

 

Who doesn't want all of this stuff? Retreats allow us the opportunity to explore, rest, live, love, connect, ask deeper questions, find ourselves, be ourselves, let down walls, detox, heal, laugh, have fun. 

And let's all be real, in the world we live in, we don't have enough of those things. 

You will come home rested, reconnected, grounded, empowered and holding close to you memories that last a lifetime.
